PROPERTIES / QUALITY
The characteristics that define MMA in the market are:
PURITY
The purity of our product is measured by gas chromatography. Raw r-MMA purity is between 75%-85%. After destillation process, it reachs higher purities of MMA.
DENSITY
The measure of density is done in accordance with UNE 48014-2, obtaining a density range of 0.942 – 0.946 g/cm3.
ACIDITY
It’s measured in accordance with the ASTM D1613-17 standard for determining the acidity in ppm methacrylic acid present in the sample.
HUMIDITY
In accordance with the UNE – EN ISO 12937, we obtain measurements below 0.6% for our raw r-MMA. This parameter is significantly reduced in the destillation process.
COLOUR
The colour of our product is mesured in the scale Pt-Co following the standard process defined in UNE – EN ISO 6271.
PRESENCE OF POLYMERS
The presence of polymers in the mixture is visually determined based on the sharpness of the sample once mixed with methanol.

MMA is widely used in various sectors: construction, electronics, automotive, etc. It’s primarily characterized by its mechanical and optical properties and for its resistance.
Its main application is the fabrication of PMMA pane, but also can be applied to:
